Building Connections that Make a Difference

As we headed into 2025, rebranding was top of mind for us. We’ve been reflecting on what’s working for the parents we serve — what we want to keep, what might not be effective anymore, and what we’re excited to add (like a quarterly nature-based journey).

This led to an important team conversation about the core of our work: our values, the principles we stand by, and how we aim to show up for others. Here’s a look at the growing list of beliefs that guide us and foster transformation for individuals and families.

The foundation of what we teach is built on the idea that:

  • A growth mindset is key to unlocking potential for both individuals and families.
  • Personal accountability is the cornerstone of all growth.
  • Children are the motivation, and parents hold the key.
  • Change is a process, and there’s no shame in it — it’s part of the journey.
  • It’s easy to focus on what’s beyond our control, but true effectiveness comes from focusing on what we can control.
  • Truth often lies in the spaces between different perspectives.
  • There’s always room to learn, grow, and improve.

As part of our ongoing commitment to learning, we’ve been building connections with like-minded organizations doing impactful work. This helps us stay grounded in our values and, importantly, ensures we’re practicing what we preach.

Some of the collaborations we’ve been proud to be a part of include:

Sky’s the Limit Fund: Helping families access financial support for wilderness therapy and transition coaching. If you’re able to, consider supporting their mission through a donation: Donate to Sky’s the Limit Fund.

OPLM: An online peer-support platform for parents of struggling teens and young adults. To learn more or donate, visit OPLM

The Parker Bounds Johnson Foundation: Providing support to families in crisis, inspired by the transformative experience of wilderness therapy for their son. Donate to the Parker Bounds Johnson Foundation.

Hopestream: A community of parents and experts offering resources for those facing challenges related to substance use and mental health. Visit Hopestream

And to kick off this year, we’re stepping outside of our usual focus on mental health support to collaborate with Winn4Quinn Foundation, which provides much-needed support to those battling Cystic Fibrosis. Consider donating here: Win4Quinn Foundation, or visit the Winn4Quinn store

At Solutions Family Support, we’re here to help you find peace at home again — and we encourage you to give back in ways that align with your values and capabilities. Together, we can make a difference.
