Transitional Specialist/Parent Coach

Over the past 30 years, I have created, mentored and facilitated personal growth journeys and experiences advocating for people all over the world. I co-founded a one-of-a-kind wilderness therapy program for adolescents and young adults in 1997, and was at the forefront of the parallel process for parents by offering coaching and workshops while their child was in wilderness therapy.

As your Parent Coach, I walk this journey with you. I am here to help shine a light on what’s possible for your empowerment, personal and co-parenting growth and shifting family dynamics.

During my career as a program director, clinical director, wilderness therapist and coach, I have gained extensive experience using best practices working with struggling children, adolescents and young adults including learning differences, spectrum diagnoses, trauma and addiction. My passion is to support others in cultivating an authentic and deeply connected life.

I hold a Master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation with post graduate work in counseling psychology. I am a certified Deep Transformational Coach trained with the Institute of Life Coach Training and the Center for Transformational Coaching.

Throughout my life and as a parent, I have journeyed the path of transformation, changing discomfort into possibility, shifting ways of being and trusting my intuitive knowing. I invite parents to step into their discomfort, to recognize and appreciate effort and successes, and to understand and parent to their childs temperaments. Through stepping into our own discomfort and owning the places where we are can actualize change, we can offer a new experience for our families.

About Solutions Parenting Support

Over the years we have gained much insight into how difficult it is for children and parents to sustain what they learned in treatment once they returned home.

In traditional treatment programs, it is the child’s responsibility for continuing their growth in the home setting, but, up until now, there has been very little focus or resources dedicated to helping the parents maintain, with confidence, their responsibility in this journey alongside their child.

We all felt called to find ways to better support parents and created Solutions Parenting Support to give parents the confidence and tools to navigate the tough terrain of raising struggling adolescents, teens and young adults.

We maintain humility and openness about our own learning processes. We are all teachers and learners with our eyes and hearts open to the idea that our clients are both our students and our teachers.

Let’s work together!

Whether you’re just starting to feel concerned about your child’s behavior or you are already on the path to healing through a treatment program, (and your child is transitioning home), Solutions Parenting Support has several options to help you, including custom group workshops, online parenting courses to individual long and short-term coaching sessions.
