As former wilderness therapists we are aware of the limitations prior, during and after the treatment process.
The primary focus, through traditional treatment programs, was always primarily the child’s responsibility for continuing their growth in the home setting, but there was very little focus and resources dedicated to help the parents maintain, with confidence, their responsibility in this journey alongside their child.
Hilary has loads of experience helping parents handle and help stuck / depressed / angry / anxious / weed-clouded kids.
Hilary really knows adolescents and emerging adults, and she has loads of experience helping parents handle and help stuck / depressed / angry / anxious / weed-clouded kids. I know Hilary from her previous work at Pacific Quest where she was one of their most sought after therapists ever - ask any educational consultant, they will agree. -Dr. Richard Falzone, MD, LLC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
We both felt called to find ways to better support parents and created Solutions Parenting Support to give parents the confidence and tools to navigate the tough terrain of raising struggling adolescents, teens and young adults.
With our knowledge, experience, and creativity, (in our direct and practical style), Solutions Parenting Support can help the families you work with get to where
need and want to be.
- For parents looking to keep their family intact in the home, we will help them build skills and guide them to better understand their family system. They will captain their families with more clarity and confidence.
- For parents who have children in treatment, we will skillfully walk them through the journey they are on with their child, working with the treating professionals to help parents, and involved siblings, to better understand and support their child’s growth.
Parents will also be guided in understanding treatment recommendations and working through the emotional and practical aspects of their decisions.
All of our contracts include collaboration with involved professionals.

They coach each family based on their unique needs...
I refer clients to Solutions because I trust that their transitional team will “get it” quickly and coach each family based on their unique needs. Some parents need to get more firm with their boundaries and create clear rules and structure. Others need to soften and work more on relationships. Solutions Parenting Support does not have a “one size fits all” approach. They quickly discern what is appropriate and coach accordingly.
Customized parenting workshops and online courses
We often hear about the desire professionals have to offer more time and education to the many families they support throughout various stages of treatment with their children. We want to help by addressing the specific needs of your clients and offer a workshop series that provides solutions tailored to those issues and group dynamics. Rather than traveling at the end of a work day to a support group, parents can join us from the comfort of their own home in our virtual meeting space.
Please contact us for more information on how we can help support your practice with these customized group sessions.

I Feel so lucky to be able to work alongside of Hilary and hope to continue to do so for each and everyone of my families.
Online Parent Coaching Courses
Our online courses allow parents in like situations to come together for learning and collaborating over a brief period of time and are one more creative solution you can offer to parents in need.
We became a stronger co-parenting team, and we were better prepared to welcome our daughter home.
My husband and I participated in Solutions Parenting Support’s course “ Strengthening the Co-Parenting Team” while our daughter was enrolled in a therapeutic wilderness program. We wanted to find better ways to communicate with our daughter when she returned home. Through reading assignments, course materials, and facilitated telephone and Internet exchanges, Hilary helped us to identify our co-parenting struggles. During the course, we were able to align our parenting expectations and styles in a caring and understanding group setting. Conversation flowed easily, exchanges were lively, and participants remained engaged. As a result of participating in this course, we became a stronger co-parenting team, and we were better prepared to welcome our daughter home and avoid some of the issues and difficulties that created tension in our household before wilderness.
