NextGen Coaching

Life Coaching for Tweens, Teens and Young Adults

Our NextGen Coaching is perfect for anyone ages 11-28 who wants to take charge of their life.

Whether you're figuring out your strengths, needs, and goals or trying to deal with life's ups and downs, we're here to help. If you're struggling with confidence at home or coming back from wilderness therapy or another long-term program, this is for you.

Even if your parents are the ones pushing this forward to help you find or stay on a great path, we can support you in making those changes stick.

If you’re ready to make proactive changes and shape your life in new ways, our coaching can guide you through that process.

*To see if this is a good fit for you, we evaluate each case individually. Please book a consultation to discuss your specific situation.

When kids reach out to us, this is what we hear

"I want to get my parents off my back and figure out how to deal with my crap so that I can actually be more independent."

"I am tired of feeling stuck, like there are things I want to do but can’t get off my ass to make it happen. Most of my friends just left for college and I am still home with my parents."

"I am coming home from treatment and I do not want to go back…I need to figure out how to make this new perspective stick."

What We Do

Our coaches are here to be your mentors, but it's not just about what we do for you—it's about who we are for you and how we help you reach your goals.

A mentor is someone who offers guidance, advice, and support to help you grow and achieve your goals. They share their knowledge and experience to help you navigate challenges and make better decisions.

Basically, they’re like a trusted guide who helps you succeed.

In the first 6 weeks, we’ll put in extra work and expect you to be pretty committed. Our goal is to help you get clear on what you want, how to make it happen, and avoid the stuff that messes you up. Over time, we’ll help you build good habits and shift your mindset so you can get more of what you want and less of what you don’t.

And, we don’t let your parents sign you up without you knowing.

We can Help you:

  • Build confidence at home and boost your critical thinking skills.
  • Balance your life, understand your strengths and limits, and respect your family’s values.
  • Find and use tools that work for you and keep up with all the hard work you've put in so far.
  • Figure out when you really need help, who to ask, and how to ask for it while being aware of your feelings about it.
  • Find the courage to act on the support you need and apply the skills you’ve learned.
  • Understand what your journey and growth look like and follow through with recommendations from others in your life.
  • Be open with your parents while maintaining agency
***Agency is the ability to make your own choices and act independently, shaping your life and future. It’s about having control over your decisions and influencing your circumstances. Essentially, it's your power to guide your own path.

We will also help you:

  • Talk to your parents in many different situations, and practice these skills in family coaching sessions.
  • Navigate the changes in your life after therapy, understand your new freedoms, and earn trust from others.
  • Handle responsibilities effectively and maintain healthy relationships, even when it’s tough.
  • Recognize your value beyond therapy and be willing to show it and see your impact.
  • Be honest with you, support your success, and fight for you to achieve your goals.

We'll teach you how to:

  • Deal with challenges in ways that make you proud
  • Keep trying even when things don’t go well
  • Change how you view and face setbacks and build resilience.
  • Stand on your own while still accepting support from those around you.

*It is important to note that if you are in a clinical crisis – such as self-harm or suicidal ideation – you must be supported by an individual or family therapist, not just the Solutions Parenting Support mentor. Our mentoring support is meant to help you with predicting and preparing for challenging situations and give you strategic solutions to better respond to your challenges.

    NextGen Coaching Pathways To Mastery

Our first step, called "Stabilize," is all about getting things under control. We’ll help you feel confident in what you do, understand why you do it, and make small changes to get closer to the life you want.

Things will feel less chaotic and more manageable. You’ll learn how to stay connected and be kind, even in tough relationships. Your coach will help you set realistic goals, focus on what you can control, and use new strategies to handle challenges better.

We think stabilizing is super important, so we include a membership to 6 coaching groups, 1/week beginning week 1 of your coaching journey. These are held weekly and recorded, so you can catch up even if you miss a live session.

Two family coaching sessions are included in this and you and your mentor will discuss why, when and how you want these to happen.

By now, you should be seeing more stability in your daily life. You’ve figured out what was causing problems, set achievable goals for yourself and others, and taken control of what you can. You’re also being kinder and less reactive. There are fewer things that throw off your routine and less self-doubt when facing new challenges.

In this next step, our goal is to help you keep up this healthier routine so things don’t slide back into old problems. Some setbacks might happen, but we’ll focus on building your skills and resilience to prevent them from affecting the whole family. You’ll learn which tools work best and how to use them effectively. As you get better at this, you’ll need less support from us and start trusting your own judgment more. Two family coaching sessions are included in this and you and your mentor will discuss why, when and how you want these to happen.

With this step, you can join our weekly groups at a discounted price. This includes 6 weekly groups beginning at the start of your contract, with recordings available if you miss any live meetings.

At this stage, you’re working on staying close in your relationships, acting responsibly toward your own health and breaking away from entitlement and blame. You get why certain behaviors, yours and others, can be a problem, and you can handle these issues without getting stuck. You’ll use what you’ve learned to improve your current situation at home.

With the Optimize plan, you can get a discount on our optional group membership. This includes 6 weekly group coaching sessions plus access to recordings when you can’t be there in person.

*This is available only if you have completed one of the other pathways and your NextGen coach knows you are ready for less support

This is the pathway to mastery that offers the least support and presumes you aren't in a crisis but still want some help to handle new challenges as they come up. This coaching is best for tweens, teens and young adults who have already completed at least one other step, so the coach is familiar with you, your family, your lifestyle, and your values. The Strategize level is like a booster to remind you and keep you on track with the tools you’ve learned.
